[​03/06/2020] New Enemy Designs


For the past few days I have been designing and implementing new enemies to be introduced to the second level. The second level (The Keep) takes place inside the dark, abandoned keep. To help further improve the environment design, I came up with some enemies that will not only complement the environment, but test the players by introducing different types of AI. The enemies that will be featured on this level will include a demon, a ghost and a giant ogre!

Demon:

The Demon wanders the halls of the keep in search of it's next victim, once it spots its pray it will furiously chase them down. When first implementing this enemy the weapons would not register the damage since it was still tied to the slime prefab, however this was a quick fix once I created a weapon variant that targets the demon instead of the slimes.

Wandering Ghost:

The unfortunate victims of the Ruiner and his army once again haunt The Keep. Some say you can still hear the moans and whispers of the victims before being met with a barrage of spirits. How does one kill the dead? One sure way is to destroy there earthly possession such as statues, jewellery and even pots.

Ogre

This enemy is still being developed but what I can say for now is that this giant will not be defeated by normal means, the player may need to get a little creative with there surroundings.
